Women in Construction
March 7, 2022Welcome to “Women in Construction” Week and MY Story.
Some women in construction wear tool belts with construction tools and other women in construction have sales and marketing tools in their belts! Both are invaluable to the amazing Home Building industry!
As you all know, I fall in the second group and super proud of that as well as my amazing colleagues who both build and market new homes. I have been in the home building industry since 1986…WOW! It has fed both my soul and my family well😊 I took my education degree and turned it into a sales construction education and mentoring degree. I will always support and encourage the paths and journeys of those of you committed to learning and growing in the Home Building industry!
I will jump on my bandwagon for CWK this week and say “Lets take this great industry to the children” Let’s create a work force that includes everyone! How are we going to do that? EDUCATION. Put the possibilities of both a hands-on building trade as well as the sales and marketing arm of construction in front of our youth to explore it up front as a career and choice.
My friend, Mollie Elkman has started a surge beginning with “The House that She Built” inspired by a team of women in the trades who came together from around the country to build a one-of-a-kind home. Go to AMAZON to pick up you copy of the children’s book that she, along with her illustrator Georgia Castellano wrote.
If you dream it and believe it… you can make endless possibilities happen!
This blog is dedicated to all who have supported me in my vast career in the Homebuilding industry!
